The Birth Partner Project is a Cardiff based charity that supports women seeking sanctuary who would otherwise birth alone. A small team of three volunteers is assigned to each woman to support her in the final stages of pregnancy, during labour and birth, and eight weeks postnatally. The role is non-medically and requires you to be compassionate, reliable and able to advocate for women and birthing people.
We also have opportunities for postnatal support only and drop-in (Weds lunchtimes) session support volunteers https://www.birthpartnerproject.org/become-a-volunteer-birth-partner-1 |
