We are a charity for older people in Cardiff and the Vale. We support people aged 65 plus who are lonely and isolated.
We are looking for Volunteer Befrienders who can spare an hour a week to visit and chat to an older person and provide friendship and support.
The role of a befriender is flexible and easy to work around busy lifestyles, one or two hours a week is all it takes to make a difference to the life of an older person. No experience is necessary, you just need to have good communication skills, be reliable and enjoy having a chat. If this sounds like you, please give us a call today, we would love to hear from you.
Befriending offers hope and support to older people at a time in their life when they need it most and can also help volunteers develop a sense of their own well being and skills and experience.
