Llais is the national, independent body set up by the Welsh Government to give the people of Wales a stronger voice in their health and social care services.
Local Llais teams gather views and experiences of health and social care from those living in Wales and provide support in raising complaints. We then work with the NHS, Local Authorities, and Welsh Government, to try and improve services.
To be able to have as wide a reach as possible, we have a dedicated team of volunteers in each region that help us carry out our work. The volunteer roles include:
• Visiting – going to NHS facilities and care homes to talk to patients and service users about their experiences
• Engagements – going out into the community, attending local and national events, to promote Llais and gather feedback
• Representation – attending important stakeholder meetings to represent Llais
• Online Feedback Collecting – searching online for local feedback which is collected as intelligence, and helps to inform our future work
