The Rhiwbina reminiscence group tackles social isolation and poor mental health by providing a friendly space that understands the needs of those living with memory loss and can be a chance for carers to socialise with others who understand their experience.
The group starts with some very light movement accessible to people with different mobility needs. This could be Tai Chi or Low Impact Functional Training. After, the group takes part in different reminiscence activities to recall past memories and events. This could be looking at old photos of Cardiff, talking about past sporting events or playing music the group remembers. The group also does a sing a long.
