Community Adult Basic Skills (CABS) was founded to help adults with learning disabilities build confidence and skills that will help them day to day.
We are recruiting volunteers to help CABS deliver activities that support attendee learning during tutor led sessions. We are looking for volunteers who enjoy being around people, will help learners join in and engage with the session, and will help make refreshments.
Outline of the role: – Greet attendees who come to the session. – Provide support to learners within sessions to help them complete tasks. – Encourage participation in group activities (such as numeracy games, quizzes and moving to music). – Empowering attendees to learn independently. – Support the set up and packing down of session. – Help to serve refreshments. – Follow all policy and procedure.
