Cardiff Foodbank continues to help people who fulfil original Foodbank criteria through this time.
That includes people who find themselves with no food due to benefit delays or changes, low income, redundancy, sickness etc, but not for Covid-19 reasons alone.
People in food crisis will need to access a voucher from one of our agencies. Housing associations, probation, midwives, health visitors, support workers and many other organisations are all still issuing vouchers. The voucher can then be exchanged in one of our Foodbank centres for a minimum amount of dried, tinned and packet food to provide three meals a day for three days.
Please see the link for up to date information on centre opening times https://cardiff.foodbank.org.uk/locations/
Alternatively, four of the Council hubs are operating as Foodbank distribution centres and issue our vouchers and exchange them for food at point of contact. Please call 029 2087 1071 to enquire.
If you are not able to get to an agency to get a voucher because you are ill, even though you fulfil Foodbank criteria, then call the Council number above as they are operating a delivery service.
