Radyr Scouts are looking for people interested in volunteering. In particular, we are looking for people interested in becoming Leaders for the Tuesday cub pack (boys and girls aged 8 to 10), which runs from 7pm to 8.30pm.
We are a friendly bunch and training and support will be given to those interested in becoming leaders and assistant helpers. The term activities are planned as a team, and the activity for each meeting is planned with the help of others if needed. We are interested in hearing both from volunteers able to commit to every Tuesday (in school term) and those who can make a regular commitment but not every Tuesday. You may enjoy working with children, you may have free time you want to put to good use, you may be looking for experience working with children to help you into your chosen career, you may have particular skills and knowledge you want to share with children, you may want to get to know new people in the community, you may be looking for a new challenge: whatever your motivation, we would be pleased to hear from you! If you are interested, please contact Kieran, our Group Scout Leader, for an informal chat. We can also arrange for you to visit a cub’s session if you want to see how the groups are run before committing to volunteer. You may also want to take a look at the Scouts volunteering page. https://www.scouts.org.uk/volunteer/volunteering-with-scouts/ |
